World's Crummiest Job

About once a decade my mom invites me to be a sub for her Bunco group. On Wednesday, one of these elite invitations was given to me. Sadly, I couldn't go because I needed to help my husband with the "easy" job of installing the insulation in our basement. DH and some of his family started the job on Monday, but we HAD to finish it tonight because the sheet rock was being delivered at 8:00 am the next morning.

Though not super hard, the job is a PAIN. You have to measure, cut, and stuff it into the walls and ceiling, all the while handling the itchy material. Currently this tops my list of "World's Crummiest jobs." The insulation is so deceptive. You wouldn't think that something so soft and cuddly looking would aggravate your skin and eyes and make you cough. (Remind me, to use this as a church lesson some time). Anyway, about 3:30 am we finished. Yes, it has been awhile since I've stayed up that late. Special thanks to Jordan and Dana for their help.

On Thursday morning the sheet rock came, and our sheet rock guy finished all the ceilings.

Maybe after the basement is done, I can host my own Bunco group.

We found out it cost about $100 to have the people insulate for us. Sold!

AAAHH! It looks so good! Can you tell I'm jealous? I'm so excited for you. It's starting to look like a real LIVEABLE space. Keep it up and keep posting pictures. I can live vicariously, can't I?
