April Highlights!

1. Good Thing #1 started soccer- This is my first experience with extra activities and I want it to be my last! With the crazy weather, my visions of the whole family enjoying the games together have been ruined. Of the 7 games this month, 1 was canceled for snow, 4 were rainy, and 1 was windy. He has improved a bit, which is nice (imagine with me a child in the goal paying more attention to his keeper jersey than the game and magnify that by 12 and you have our first game of the season). His favorite part of participating is the treat afterwards. $25 for registration, $8 for a shirt, $7 for team pictures...I'm still not sure it was money well spent.

2. Spring Break- We had originally planned to go to Nevada but decided to save our pennies and stick close to home. The boys were disappointed but I promised them that we would do something fun each day. Lucky for me the kids have never been anywhere truly fun so they were easily entertained by a trip to the library and park one day, the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point the next day, bowling at BYU and lunch at McDonalds, and most importantly for them a purchase of a Wii (so much for saving our pennies). All were fun and we loved having Grandma Baugh with us at BYU and the museum.

3. Wii- This has been pretty fun to have. When we got it, GT#1 declared it the happiest day of his life, no joke.

4. Good Thing #3's Birthday- None of my children have ever been so excited for their birthday as he was for his. The 2 weeks prior I had to tell him if he didn't shape up/clean up/cut it out/eat it up..etc that I would take away his birthday cake. Immediately the offending behavior/action was straightened out. He loves cars in all forms and was super excited about his new crop of toys given to him on his special day, and the chance to blow out the candles all by himself ("Not Jacob, not Samuel, just me"). We sure enjoy him in our family!
4. Telos Timp Triathlon- I did my first ever triathlon and it ended up being a lot of fun. This was a sprint triathlon in a reverse order so it was perfect for a novice like me. It was a 3 mile run, 10 mile bike, and 350 m swim. I finished with out dying and got to visit with Mylissa G and Julie O, so it was great all around. This same race is being held in November so everybody get ready for it!

5. Watching Good Thing #4 grow- Admit it, she is PRECIOUS!!

Emily- I'm so glad that you joined the blogging world. I love your page. Keep adding photos, they are fun for us who live far away to look at.
