How I added to my Food Storage this Week

I think most of you know that I really enjoy couponing (yes, a verb). Yesterday morning I took advantage of only having 3 kids with me and went to the following stores.

I "bought" this stuff at Walgreens:

I actually made $3.52 on these items, thanks to coupons and their current promotion.

At Albertsons I got these 34 items for $17, thanks to coupons, a Tostitos rebate, and their current promotion.

It makes me happy to know that in an emergency I could eat cereal and dishwashing detergent, brush my teeth and shave my legs. Besides, there are worse hobbies.

I shop at Albertsons and everyone teases me that it is too expensive. Call me or something so I can find out where to get these coupons too. We like cereal.

If you don't get coupons in the newspaper than for this sale you can get printable coupons on the internet. I would suggest going to Pinchingyourpennies.com, registering for free, than going to your state forum for all the grocery deals where you live. There are links on the shopping list for the relevant printable coupons.

Could I just hire you to save me money and buy stuff for me? Oh wait, that might defeat the purpose . . .

I still don't get it! Why don't I get it? I'm relatively intelligent!! I get my coupons and I clip them but I dont understand how I can use more than one or MAKE money on it. You are amazing. My hero.

Ps Loving the "Goods." So glad you came to the dark side.

do you have any strategy on WHEN you go shopping for deals? I find that when I try to hit Rite-Aid, most of the rebate items are completely gone, or when I go to albertsons to get my good deal on cereal, all they have left is the sugary stuff. Is early morning better, or the first day of the sale...any advice?
