Summer: Week 9

This week we met at my mom's house for park day. The kids played in the water while the mom's talked. It was great.

We swam at the Spanish Fork pool on Wednesday night (without dad, baby and #3). GT's #1 and #2 passed off swimming the length of the pool (about 20 yards) so I let them go off the diving board. Pretty big deal for the two of them.

Thursday we met some of our cousins at the Hogle Zoo. I have to say my daughter was probably the most entertained; almost 3 must be the perfect age for this zoo. The older boys enjoyed the Nature's Nightmares exhibit.

On Friday our big fun was swimming for cousin Caleb's party. Sadly, I trusted in my son's new swim skills too much and we had a scare with GT #2. Needless to say, the boys are not quite ready to swim on their own like I was letting them. Despite this, everyone had a great time and loved the party.

Saturday we attended a reunion for my Grandma Gibby. Grandma has pancreatic cancer. We were happy to spend some time with her. We had a scavenger hunt, made bracelets, and shot off water rockets.

This little guy climbed his first tree while we there. He was pretty darn proud. It's hard to be the smaller brother.

After the reunion we made an appearance at cousin Wesley's birthday party. Nothing like one party after another.

In the words of Good Thing #1, the week was "pretty much fun."
