Week 1: Summer Fun

In an effort to make summer fun I have a goal to do one exciting thing each week. I know, I'm really stretching myself. Anyway, last week we met up with g-ma, aunts, and cousins at the Nielsen's Grove Park. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it. My kids loved it. Besides the playground, there were ducks, and a fountain. Despite the sign that clearly said, "No swimming, No wading, Untreated water," my kids dove into the fountain and had the time of their lives.

Just a note, I don't deliberately disobey signs, but by the time I got over to the fountain the damage was done. All 3 boys were soaked head to toe. What was I to do but let their sister join them. Though the kids were thoroughly sunburned and had to wear wet clothes to both the grocery store and Target we were happy to have played hard and of course to have escaped our first chance at Crypto.

And this is us having fun together as a family at Free Fishing Day. We didn't catch anything, but we mostly had good attitudes and enjoyed being together.
