The boys received a set like this for Christmas and it has been GREAT!! All 3 boys play with the set regularly. It is most frequently used to build miscellaneous Star Wars ships, creatures, and light sabers. This particular set is made of plastic, and is not quite as durable as the original wood set, however, it has held up nicely. I have to tell you it has been worth every penny Santa paid it.

Amen. The toys that have never gotten old for my kids (or my husband) have been tinker toys and legos. I highly recommend either of these to any family with boys. You'll get more than your money's worth.
