September Happenings

More than you wanted to know about our September....

- We had a fun Labor Day. I was feeling pretty bad that day since the weekend didn't go as I had planned. As I was drowning my sorrow in Magleby's buttermilk syrup with the kids, my mom called and invited us to come to the cabin for the day. The kids and I had a fantastic time with G-ma and G-pa Baugh and a couple of our cousins. It was a fun day full of hiking, s'mores, and throwing sticks in the reservoir.

- Tuesdays and Thursdays this month were spent with Good Thing #3 at the soccer fields. He mostly had fun. He is still learning how to hustle, run, and kick. Luckily he had a very patient coach.

- Wednesdays and Saturdays were spent with Good Things #1 and #2 on the flag football fields. GT #1 played with the same group this year as last. He played both defense and offense and had a few good flag pulls. He enjoyed playing. GT #2 got to take the handoff a couple of times and also got some good flag pulls in. He also enjoyed playing.

- Good Thing #3 had a first grade Grandparents program. He did a great job with his speaking part and singing along. He was thrilled that his G-ma Baugh, G-ma Gunderson, and Great G-ma and Great G-pa Poulsen could all come.
- We announced the upcoming arrival of Good Thing #6. One day Good Thing #1 asked me if people knew about the new baby yet. I told them that I thought most people probably knew I was pregnant. He then said, "Then why aren't people bringing us dinner?" Sounds good to me! ;)

- We went ice skating with a couple of our cousins. My kids LOVED it. It was cute watching the little ones scoot around with the walkers, and the big boys cruising. I got some much needed exercise in too.

- Gabe worked A LOT
- The rest of the month was spent with homework, Cub Scouts, church stuff, BYU football get-togethers, housework, preschool group, and general life.
