December Happenings and Milestones to Note

Good Thing #2 had his second grade program. He likely did a great job. I can't be sure as I was wrangling a baby, shushing my 3 year old, and trying to keep track of my 5 and 9 year olds who were more interested in playing in the hall than sitting at the very back of the auditorium with me.

GT#1 and #2 have been singing in their school choir. I fully support this, after all I got my start in elementary school choir singing songs from Sound of Music and South Pacific, and you see how famous I've become. They had a Christmas concert this last week. They stood by each other (top row left side) and kept me shaking my head in disbelief with their elbow nudging, whispering to each other, and other silliness. We've since talked about proper concert behavior.

Good Thing #3 lost his first tooth this last Friday night. It was a fun event. He carried his dollar bill around all the next day.

On Saturday GT #1 and #2 competed in the Nebo Wrestling Tournament. This has been their first year wrestling. I have to hand it to them for trying so hard. They are both big for their ages and have had to wrestle well experienced kids all season. GT #2 wrestled 3 kids, 2 of which he fought hard. The third pinned him pretty fast. GT#1 wrestled 2 times. The first guy pinned him fast and then he ended up beating the second guy. They were both pretty happy to receive medals.
