Christmas Fun (thus far)

My children might disagree, but I do try to make this a wonderful time of year. A couple weeks ago GT#1 was talking about Christmas lights and wishing we had some on our house. One thing about this sweet child (who is sitting next to me as I type this) is that when he gets something in his head he has a hard time getting it out. We must have talked for about 20 minutes about Christmas lights. I told him over and over that we wouldn't be putting them up. I couldn't do it, dad couldn't do it, and no he couldn't do it either. When I thought we were done with the conversation, I changed the subject and said, "What things are you hoping for Christmas?" He answered, "Well, first of all, lights on our house!" Oh, funny kids.

We participated in a ward "Secret Elf" activity. I admit we weren't the best elves in the neighborhood. Especially, when I hear of things other people did. Oh well. Anyway, on the last day my kids dressed up as Christmas Elves. Bad secret elves but delightfully cute children.

This time of year equals sweet treats on the doorstep. One night this last week someone surprised us with hand made hats. The kids LOVE 'em, me too. I want to remember (and recognize) the fantastic neighbors we have. Thank you for your treats and notes. To our secret neighbors, thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Yesterday we went to Ephraim for the annual Baugh Christmas party. Highlights include the pinata, the 2 big boys playing the piano, and one little boy walking for the first time.
