Holiday Wrap-Up

I can't remember what it was like to only have two kids. I do know I wasn't nearly as grateful as I should have been at the time about the equal ratio of children to parents. I mention this because a couple days before Christmas Gabe and I met some of my family in SLC to eat dinner (mmm Crown Burgers) and see the lights on Temple Square. The boys spent the evening at their cousins house, so we only had Good Things #4 and #5 with us. I had a fantastic time taking care of the baby while Gabe played with #4. For the whole evening I didn't have to worry about anyone getting lost, nobody talked back, and everyone got along. It was like my own little Christmas miracle. Needless to say it was a great evening.

Christmas Eve was spent with the Gunderson family. Soup, gifts, and grandkids were all in abundance

We had a great Christmas Day. The boys declared this year "The best Christmas ever." Lucky for us they are easily pleased.

Special thanks to thoughtful parents, mindful friends, and great neighbors who blessed us this Christmas season. Life was quite stressful this month, and still is. I was reminded again though that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me and my family. Our spirits were lifted quite a bit.

We spent the next few days in Idaho with the Gundersons. {insert picture of us having a grand time together} I actually didn't take any pictures since I was too busy reading, eating, and playing Tetris. The kids did remarkably well driving there and back and we enjoyed the much needed time together. It didn't hurt that Island Park was beautiful and that the kids were well behaved. We got back in time to ring in the New Year with some of my family. Snacks, games and grandkids (again) were in abundance.

Finally, some of my favorite sights this Christmas:
