Funny Kids

Sometimes I think I've created a bit of a monster with Good Thing #3. He can play for hours by himself, which is great. As a result, however, he is a bit territorial with his things. It has helped a lot having a friend over 3 times a week (in the form of a babysitting gig) as he is doing a lot better at playing with others. He is still working on playing well with his sister.

Anyway, this was a project he put together one day this month. If you can't tell, it's Willy Wonkas Chocolate factory, complete "with the tube that the fat kid gets sucked up in."

If you still can't tell that it's Willy Wonkas Chocolate factory then you have no imagination.

Also this month, I was often greeted with this sight:

Since Good Thing #5 was born I've always thought he kind of looked like a turtle. Seeing him lift his head up out of the bassinet did not help the image.

Here he is another day wishing someone would get him the heck out of there:

You'll be glad to know he has now been transferred to a crib.

Last Saturday after a fairly successful dinner of homemade chicken nuggets my daughter had an incident with the barbeque sauce. I may or may not have been on the computer at the time. There are a couple lessons to be learned by this. The main one being that you shouldn't leave the condiments out on the table with an unsupervised 2 year old.

She still smells like Hickory Smoke a week later.

Last Sunday, the boys, inspired by their primary sharing time, put together a "roller box." They put a ton of pictures together and set the movie up for us. Good Thing #3 even made a remote for it. Here it is on the "scary" part of the movie:

And finally, one day this week I went to check on Good Thing #4 who was suppose to be taking a nap on my bed. This is what I found:

She can't help being the cutest Gunderson to date, it's just part of who she is.
