December Happenings: Part 2

And....after school got out our Christmas Vacation and activities included:

-Attending Gabe's work Christmas Party (4 oldest got to come, I wanted to enjoy myself)
-The kids and I went to the traditional Baugh Family Party in Ephraim.  Gabe had to work, so he missed all the fun.  We were happy Grandma Baugh got to be there and it felt really special to hear grandpa speak.  Lizzie shared a joke, "What does Santa say when he walks backward?  Oh, Oh, Oh." Ben shared his money collection and Jacob played, "Away in a Manger."  Jacob stepped in as Joseph in an impromptu nativity with Liz as an angel and Eve as an uncooperative camel.  Jacob advanced to piƱata holder this year and Ben and Samuel were disappointed that both pinatas were busted open before their turns.  I think the pile of candy they were able to gather eased any pains.
-The kids decorated graham cracker houses.  A grand time was had by all, though after constructing a giant structure earlier Jacob wasn't that impressed with our home activity.  Samuel spent a lot of time on his, which turned out really great.
-We celebrated with the Steven Baugh Family on the 23rd this year.  We had dinner, sang songs, opened gifts, and decorated cookies.
-Christmas Eve was spent with the Gunderson's where we ate a variety of soups, opened gifts, listened to Grandpa Poulsen share memories and read the christmas story with costumes and songs.
-We had a great Christmas Day.  Gabe was home and rested this year, which made for a fantastic family day.  Happiness abounded all around.
-The rest of the break was filled with hanging out, playing with new toys, visiting grandma, a roller skating trip, going to Nickel Mania, eating chocolates bigger than our heads, and New Year's Eve partying.  Fun times for sure and a good end to a great year.
