Week 10: Summer Fun

This highly undocumented week started out pretty busily. We enjoyed a juggling show at the library where GT's #1 and #3 got to participate. It was a reward activity for the summer reading program the older boys have been participating in. By participate I mean: I would tell them to read, they would mark it on their charts, and then they would collect a sucker each time we went to the library. They did do an extra project which was to share in a creative way a book they had read. Here in GT#1's submission:
I know, "Ooh creative."

On Tuesday our regularly scheduled park day was redesigned to include "two buck Tuesday" at Thanksgiving Point. Unfortunately half of Utah County and their strollers also wanted to visit the Dinosaur Museum that morning, so we bailed. We did have a good time at Cabella's and then later eating lunch at Bonneville Park, so it wasn't a complete bust.
Well, maybe it was.

Wednesday we spent the day celebrating Gabe's brother's wedding. Like Gabe, he was fortunate to find an awesome Emily to marry, was able to marry her on our anniversary, August 5th, and in the same location we were married. I just hope they will also be able to name their first born Jacob. Don't they look great?

And don't my children look like they thoroughly enjoyed the reception?
The reception was really great. It was a lot of work for a lot of Gunderson's, but the food was awesome, the decorations and cake beautiful, and the whole evening was pretty fun all around.

Saturday evening while the girls visited old friends, Gabe took the boys to Salem to play with G-pa and G-ma and cousins. I can't prove it with pictures but I think they were able to have a pretty good time. GT#4 and I also had fun. We stayed up way too late, but the reminiscing was well worth it.
