This morning, I typed the letter, GT#1 made a new book cover and contents page (with correct spelling), and we mailed it off to Random House.

Milestones to Note
Good Thing #1 received a box set of 8 Magic Treehouse Books for Christmas. He read them all on our vacation to Idaho. In the last book it says that you can write to Mary Pope Osborne and give her your ideas for where Jack and Annie should go next on their tree house adventures. When we got home from our trip he put the following letter together, all by himself.

His idea was "Trouble in Texas." These are pictures of his book cover, and his table of contents, his letter to her, and an envelope to send them all in.

That is fun. I don't think at his age my mind worked like that.
I want to hear her reply!
"Trouble in Texas".... Been there, done that!
How cute and inspiring! I know, as an illustrator, I LOVE it when kids write to me. I always write back. It's so fun to know you've touched someone through your art (writing or pictures). What a good mom you are for encouraging such enthusiasm about books!
That is Awesome! Good job, #1! My kids love magic treehouse books and we own a bunch of them. You are welcome to borrow them if you'd like. We even have a few of the companion books that are non-fiction.
How cool of him, very impressed! Bryant loves that series too. We got the Dinosaur one on CD free from the library when he was like three and he listens to it all the time.
