Some documented October activities included:
Sam won the "golden boot" for playing hard at his game. 2 kids per game receive it, then they get passed to someone else.
| Eve taking care of her baby. |
| We visited the Vineyard Gardens Pumpkin patch. Obviously Liz stayed with me so I have the most pictures of her, though all the kids were there. |
| Another day we visited Jakers pumpkin patch. |
| Jacob got to sit by the driver. He didn't distract the 14 year too much. They had fun trying to hit all the pumpkins on the path. |
| Later that night Jacob and 2 friends went to the Cornbelly's Haunted houses for his birthday party/gift. He said it was super fun. Gabe took them (I was so happy to sit this one out). |
| Another night we went to Maple Dell scout camp for their Haunted Woods activity. It wasn't too scary the boys said, but it was something to do. I took these kids on the "children's walk." We fell behind the group and it was a bit hard walking an unknown path in the pitch dark, pregnant and carrying a 2 year old. My phone flashlight was stuck on strobe mode, so that helped a bit, but still wasn't the greatest. |
| We celebrated Jacob's 13th birthday with some giant ice cream cones. |
| Gabe later took him to choose a 22 rifle. |
| I attended Jacob's first band concert. I like to call these things "parenting karma," for all the concerts my mom attended for me. I think his band teacher let him take the rag out of the bell for the concert, but maybe not. |
| I took the younger kids to "trick or treat" on main street while Gabe took the big kids shooting. |
| 2 seconds when Eve kept something in her hair. Liz did it for her. |
| The kids showed their costumes to Grandma and Grandpa Baugh the Sunday before Halloween. |
| To celebrate Joseph's 5th birthday we went on a "Haunted Train Ride." Grandma and Grandpa Baugh joined us. The Heber train ride lasted just a few minutes, but we still had fun. We ate dinner at the Train fast food joint in town. Sadly, we left Joseph's gift there (a scooter). Luckily my parent's were headed back to Heber later in the week though so they were able to pick it up. |
| Ben's class did a reader's theater. Ben was the director and did a fine job. |
| He also wanted to document his one year anniversary of wearing glasses. He took 10 or so pictures to do so. |
| Here the kids are at their school costume parade. |
| Jacob, Samuel and Ben all trick-or-treated with friends this year. Lots of candy was gained by all. |
| We happened to get a lot of pumpkins this year between the school giving them out, grandpa's garden, and our train activity in Heber so we did a lot of carving. It was too windy Halloween night to light them, but we got them all lit the next night for fun. |
