August Happenings

A few documented things from August include:

Exercising his right to bear arms.
Orem pool fun with Katie and cousins.  We had plans to go to Seven Peaks, but they closed for rain.  Orem stayed open and we had a great time swimming there.
Celebrated 14 years of marital bliss.  Gabe gave me this necklace that matches the earrings he gave me for Valentine's Day.    Sad thing is I can't actually remember what we did that day.  Probably went out to dinner or something.  I should really keep better records.
I also can't remember what prompted these 3 to sleep in the living room, but it's documented.
Random school playground fun.
We enjoyed attending the Ogden Temple Open house.  The kids did a great job being reverent and respectful.
We hit the SLC Seven Peaks on our way back from Ogden.  Everyone had a great time exploring a new park.
Eve did run away from me at the end.  We were walking back from the changing rooms and I got ahead of her, figuring she must be right behind me.  Instead of following me she went out of the park though and headed to the parking lot.  Should I even be a parent?  She was found safe and sound, but man talk about ruining the fun.
We checked out the Utah County fair.
It was free, what did you expect?
Eve dressed up in big sister's dress.
...and Elisabeth in big brother's uniform.
Started school (7th grade)
4th, 2nd and 6th grades.
Also, begun football games and practices.  Both boys played with Salem Rec this year.
One of many football games these guys got dragged to.
I got to see the Payson community theater Les Miserables production with these fun sisters.  It was a very well done show.  Seriously, Jean ValJean was amazing.

The undocumented August happenings include PTA stuff (blech), ward pool party in Payson (fun though it got rained out at the end),  dinner party and Salem fireworks with Clint and Brooke Betts family (music, food and an awesome view of the fireworks), neighborhood mom's and daughter's camping trip for Liz and I (dinner, dip in the reservoir, music and treats around the campfire, sleeping in a tent, and just overall a fun little trip for us), Father's blessings for the kids for school help, a first baptisms temple trip for Jacob, an overnight getaway to SLC for Gabe and I to celebrate his birthday, and hopefully something fun for Elisabeth's birthday (again I can't remember and I don't even have a picture of her on her birthday-worst mom ever!)
