July is the best month of the year hands down.
-We hit the free day at Tracy Aviary, chose a carnival ride to ride, played in the water and on the playground at Liberty Park.
-We checked out the Freedom Festival activities and enjoyed shakes at Sammy's
-The 4th of July was JAM PACKED. The kids and I all ran races in the morning, 5k for me 1Miler for GT's #1-4. Sadly spectator GT #5 got sick (too much free gatorade?) so that ruined the day for he and Gabe. The rest of us went to Salem Pond to see the Gundersons then to Orem to see the Baughs. Next we went swimming and then to dinner, fun, and fireworks at the Swansons. It was sad not having Gabe around, but honestly playing near a pond, in the park, at the pool, and around fireworks was A LOT easier without a certain 2 year around.

-Later that weekend we met up at Mapleton Park for park day with my siblings, did a little rafting on the Provo River and then the kids and I went swimming again.

-Good Thing #2 celebrated the big 9 this year. He had a party with friends (and brothers) later in the month.
-We scored free Slurpees on 7-11, graduated from Waterford Institute's UPSTART program, played with cousins at Nielsen's Park, and attended the Bair Family Reunion.

-We had another fun park day in Orem, attended a free Lego camp, swam at our cousins, and the older boys and I went to the SF carnival.

-The 24th of July started out with a 10k race for me, then we went to the SF parade (and got obligatory shave ice for the kids). We had a lot of Gunderson fun at the Salem Pond, and then had dinner and watched fireworks at my brother's house.

-Poor GT #5 had a bit of croup and stayed with dad at work one evening while the rest of us went to Seven Peaks. He recovered in time to go to park day with us at Paul Ream Park.

I was guessing your birthday was going to be this month from the first sentence -- but you're right. There's always tons of fun stuff going on in July.
